Boys and young men need exposure to the risk of death, and to death itself, in order to grow up. If denied these things by an excessively risk-free environment, they will manufacture their own risks.

There is no solution to the Ecological crisis at current population levels. If we are unable to limit our numbers, consequences will limit them for us.

Whereas our solar system might be too old to host re-initialisation of intelligent life from scratch, the universe and our galaxy are young. The universe may be expanding, but our galaxy is set to merge with another in a few billion years, ensuring a long period of intense galactic life.
